Adapting
the buttonhole
seam length
with the
balance
On
highly slippery fabrics
it may
happen
that the
stitch density
of the
left seam turns
out
differently
to that
of
the right
seam.
In this
case,
the
seam density can
be adjusted using
the
balance.
The balance appears
on the right in the
display
and can
be set
with the cursor
keys
“—“ and
“—“.
Sew
a
test
button hole on
the chosen
material.
•
If, the
second
(reverse) buttonhole
seam is
denser than
the first (forward)
buttonhole
seam,
you
adapt the balance in
the plus-
section.
• If, the
second
(reverse)
buttonhole seam is not
as dense
as
the first
(forward) buttonhole
seam,
you
adapt the
balance in the
minus-
section.
Stretch
buttonholes
Now sew
another
buttonhole.
With
stretch
buttonhole
No. 26 and stretch
buttonhole
No. 27 you can
•
sew fully automatically
or
• self-define
the length and stitch
width
of the
buttonhole (see linen
buttonhole).
The
procedure
forthe
self-definition
of the second
bartack is the
same as for
the linen buttonhole.
Seam length
and
stitch

second
buttonhole
seam can
be set with the balance.

No. 5A to
the front
up to
the
second red mark!
