1. Upper looper threading (A)
Bring the upper looper to its lowest position
by turning the handwheel towards you.
Draw thread from spool and pass it through
guide (1) of the thread stand and then, in
order, through guides (2)-(8) (Fig. A).
Thread the eye of upper looper (9) using
tweezers. Cut the thread leaving about 10 cm
(4”) of thread tail.
2. Lower looper threading (B)
Open the front cover and the side cover.
Take the thread drawn from the spool and
pass it through guide (1) of the thread stand
and then, in order, through guide (2) and
thread tension dial (3) (Fig. A).
Pass the thread through guides (4)-(8).
Bring the lower looper to the far left position
by turning the handwheel towards you, and
pass the thread through lower looper thread
guide (9). Pass thread through lower looper
slit (10) from back to forward (Fig. B).
Move the lower looper slightly to the right by
turning the handwheel towards you.
Then thread the eye of lower looper (11)
using tweezers.
Cut the thread leaving about 10 cm (4”) of
thread tail.
The lower looper thread will lay on top of the
upper looper thread.
Close the front cover.
