First Time Settings
When you turn on this recorder for the fi rst
time, follow the instructions on the TV and
complete the initial setup.
Notes
Before you start, ensure that all the required
connections are made.
If a cable box or satellite receiver is connected, turn
it on now.
Complete this initial setup before you insert a disc
for play or recording.

1 Press 2 to turn on the recorder.
2 Turn on the TV to the correct video-in
channel.
Note
Select a channel on your TV, then press the channel
down button on your TV remote control until you
see the menu language screen. (The screen options
may differ depending on your country of purchase).

Select a menu language.

3 Press ST to select an on-screen display
language, then press the Green button
[ Next ].
The country selection screen is
displayed.
Select your country.

4 Press ST to select the country of use,
then press the Green button [ Next ]. It
enables the recorder to fi nd all the TV
channels in your area.
The date entry screen is displayed.
Set the current date.

The time entry screen is displayed.
