Malfunction”

Command error:
• Syntax error in either the
Recorder or Monitor
software.
Software problem, not
correctable in the field.
Replace the Recorder.
• Intermittent connection
to Recorder or faulty
cable.
• Check cable connection
is secure between the
Monitor and the
Recorder.
• Check cable, and replace
if necessary.
Recorder hardware fault
detected.
Replace the Recorder.
“Local Recorder

Communication error:
• Intermittent connection
to Recorder or faulty
cable.
• Check cable connection
is secure between the
Monitor and the
Recorder.
• If connection is sound,
but the problem persists,
replace the cable.
• Frame error in RS232
protocol (due to a
connection problem or
effects of interference
from external electrical
equipment, such as
flourescent lighting).
• Check cable connection
is secure between the
Monitor and the
Recorder.
• If connection is sound,
but the problem persists,
replace the cable.
• If there is electrical
interference from
external equipment, try to
isolate the cause, and if
possible repair or remove
the cause of the
interference.
