The CROS device is suitable for the home healthcare
environment and due to its portability it may happen that it
is used in professional healthcare facility environment like
physician oces, dental oces etc.
Intended patient population
CROS device: This device is intended for patients with
unaidable hearing loss in one ear and better hearing in the
other ear, from 6 years of age.
Charger: The intended patient population is the user of the
compatible CROS device.
Intended user
CROS device: Intended for people with unaidable hearing
loss in one ear and better hearing in the other ear, using the
CROS device and their caregivers. A hearing care
professional is responsible for adjusting the CROS device.
Charger: Intended for people with hearing loss using the
compatible rechargeable CROS device, their caregivers and
hearing care professional.
Clinical benet:
CROS device: The CROS device itself does not provide a
direct clinical benet. The clinical benet, which is the
improvement of speech understanding, is provided by the
combination of the compatible hearing aid with the CROS
device.
Charger: The charger itself does not provide a direct clinical
benet. An indirect clinical benet is provided by enabling
the parent device (rechargeable CROS device) to achieve
their intended purpose.
