Used for nanostepping mode only.
When the amounts of the two clamping
voltages exceed the value of the clamp-
free voltage parameter, the piezo
actuator pair provided with the negative
clamping voltage is lifted off the runner
while the pair provided with the positive
clamping voltage clamps the runner.
When a piezo actuator pair is lifted, its
shearing component moves back to the
starting position. The clamp-free
parameter affects the duration of that
phase: the lower the clamp-free voltage
value, the longer that phase and the
shorter the phase where the piezo
actuator pair is in contact with the
runner, causing the feed.
