The following sequence is recommended.
A. Release the front and mid-ends respectively (Figure 12)
B. Put the fiber into the handpiece, adapter and tip;
C. Tighten the mid-end adapter;
D. Approximately 3–4 in (~7–10 cm) of fiber should protrude
E. Strip and cleave fiber (FIGURES 13 and 14)
F. Adjust to desired length
G. Tighten the front end adapter to secure the fiber

5.4.2 Disconnecting the fiber and tip
A. Unscrew the pressure nut on the handpiece loosely. Twist first counter clockwise.
Do not remove it.
B. Gently pulling out the fiber through handpiece.
