Turn the unit off by pressing and holding the Power Button, and allow it to cool down. Follow the Care and Maintenance instructions. After maintenance, remove the pellets and confirm the positioning of all component parts. Once cooled, press the Power Button to turn the unit on, then select the desired temperature. If the error code is still displayed, contact Customer Service.

Remove moist wood pellets from the hopper, clean it out, and replace with dry wood pellets. * A blocked burn pot. Clear the burn pot of moist wood pellets and follow the Hopper Priming Procedure. * Insufficient air intake for the fan. Check the fan to ensure it is working properly and that the air intake is not blocked.

  If there are no power lights on the Pit Boss Smoker control board, try the following: 1. Press the Power Button, and hold it for two seconds to verify the connection. 2. Ensure the smoker is plugged into a working power source and reset the breaker. Also, ensure the GFCI is a minimum 10 Amp service and that all wire connections are firmly connected and dry. 3. Remove cooking components and turn the unit onto its side to check the fuse on the rear side of the control board. If the fuse has a broken or black wire, manually replace it with a new fuse. 4. If none of the above steps work, the control board may be faulty and needs to be replaced. Contact Customer Service for a replacement part.
