CONVERSION INSTRUCTIONS FOR SG
MODEL FRYERS
1) Following the Fryer Start-up and Shut Down
instructions following in this manual, shut the appliance
off and allow the appliance to cool to room temperature.
Insure that gas supply shut-off valve (located on the gas
supply pipe before the fryer operating gas valve) is in the
“OFF” position. Remove main burners.
2) Remove all burner orifices and replace them with the
appropriate orifices for the new gas type (refer to Table
1 for proper orifice size, that will match gas type conver-
sion). Make sure that an approved gas sealant is
applied to the orifice threads before installing the orifices
to the main burner manifold (remove burners if neces-
sary to replace orifices).
3). Burners must also be replaced if changing from LP
to NAT or NAT to LP according to the chart below.
Any gas type marked as NAT uses burner part
#B8037303 vertical slotted face burner, any gas type
marked as LP uses part #B80320001 screen mesh face
burner.
NOTE: If unit is being converted from LP to
Natural gas or Natural to LP gas, the pilot orifice
and regulator (on gas valve) must also be re-
placed with appropriate orifice and gas type regula-
tor.
4) If burners were removed, reinstall them and turn gas
supply shut-off valve to the “ON” position. Refer to
lighting instructions and relight the appliance. With
burners on, check for any gas leakage around the
orifices.
5) With main burners operating, check burner manifold
pressure and insure that proper gas pressure is supplied
to the burner system (refer to Table 2 for pressure
settings). Adjust if necessary.
6) Finally, apply the gas type conversion label, pro-
vided with the conversion kit, just below the fryer data
plate on the fryer door inside panel.
