2. Requirements
The Industrial Managed Switch provides local and remote login interface for
management purposes. The following equipment is necessary for further
management:
z Workstations running Windows XP/2003/Vista/7/8/10/2008/10, MAC OS X
or later, Linux, UNIX, or other platforms are compatible with TCP/IP proto-
cols.
z Workstations are installed with Ethernet NIC(NetworkInterfaceCard)
z Serial Port Connection (Terminal)
The above Workstations come with COM Port (DB9) or USB-to-RS232
converter.
The above Workstations have been installed with terminal emulator,
suchasHyperTerminalincludedinWindowsXP/2003,puttyorteraterm.
Serial cable -- one end is attached to the RS232 serial port, while the
other end to the RJ45 console portoftheIndustrialManagedSwitch.
USB cable -- one end is attached to the USB port, while the other end
to the micro USB connectoroftheIndustrialManagedSwitch.
z Ethernet Port Connection
Network cables -- Use standard network (UTP) cables with RJ45
connectors.
TheabovePCisinstalledwithWebbrowser.
It is recommended to use Chrome 98.0.xxx or above to access
the Industrial Managed Switch. If the Web interface of the
Industrial Managed Switch is not accessible, please turn off the
anti-virussoftwareorfirewallandthentryitagain.
