Fuel Pressure Regulator Replacement
Remove or Disconnect
Important
•
Fuel pressure must be relieved before servicing the
fuel pump.
•
Refer to “Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure.”
1. Remove the FCC bowl. Refer to Fuel Control Cell -
Element Replacement steps 1-5.
2. Remove the two clamps (1).
3. Remove the fuel pressure regulator (2).
Install or Connect
4. Install the fuel pressure regulator (2).
5. Install two new clamps (1).
6. Push on a new fi lter element over the electric pump.
7. Install the FCC bowl. Refer to Fuel Control Cell -
Element Replacement steps 7-12.
Inspect
•
Turn ignition switch to the “ON” position for 2 seconds,
then turn to the “OFF” position for 10 seconds. Cycle
the ignition several times to fi ll the FCC bowl. Turn the
ignition switch back to the “ON” position and check
for fuel leaks.
