TRANSMISSION DISASSEMBLY, CONT.
19. Mark housing and casting for reference upon
reassembly.
20. Using 2 1/8″ wrench (PN 2871701) unscrew the
front drive housing from the transmission casting
until O-ring is exposed 1/2″ (13mm).
NOTE: Do not attempt to unscrew the front drive
housing completely at this time.
21. Remove bottom access plate.
22. Bend the lock plate tab away from ring gear
retaining bolt.
