CONTROLS
Gear Selector
The transmission gear selector (1) is located on
the console to the right of the steering wheel.
It has four positions (2): high, low, neutral
and reverse.
NOTE: Low is the primary driving ra nge
for this vehic le . H igh is intended for use
on hard-packed surfaces with light loads.
To change gears, stop the vehicle and
with the engine idling, move the lever to
the desired gear. Do not attempt to shift
gears with engine speed above idle or
while the vehicle is moving.
Always place the t ransmission in gear with the
parking brake locked whenever the vehicle is
left unattended.
Maintaining shift linkage adjustment is
important to assure proper transmission
function. See your dealer if you experience any
shifting problems.
NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with a reverse
alarm. The alarm is activated when the
transmission is shifted to reverse.

Do not attempt to shift the transmission while the vehicle is
moving or damage to the transmission could result.
Always place the transmission in gear with the parking brake
applied and turn the vehicle off whenever the vehicle is left
unattended.
