Open the battery compartment and remove
the battery. .

Remove the battery cmdle by removing the
l'hillips-bead screw.

Remove the latch and center retainer by
removing
the screw,

the left hand guard by carefuJIy
tapping
the posts free of the fasteners using

drive pin punch as shown in Figure

J. Route the battery wires through the cutout

the lower end of the new left hand guard

and
lit the guard onto the camera.

Secure the guard with the fasteners using
tool
IICR1I008 (Figure 5·29).

Replace the center retainer and latch using
the shorter PhiUips--head screw.
