17. Rotate the rear pads. Diagram 8, inset. Ask your assistant to stabilize the
unit while you rotate the adjustable rear pad to lift the base assembly off the
floor and provide better access to the fasteners.
18. Rest the base assembly on a block. Diagram 8. Have an assistant grasp
the handrails and lift the base up so that you can slide a supportive block of
packing material under the front of the unit.

15. Connect the lift motor cable. Diagram 7, #2.
16. Push excess cable inside base tube. Diagram 7, #3. Carefully, push any excess
cable behind the height adjustor threads that protrude from inside the base tube.
