Always consider the following factors when determining the belt/deck wear condition and
replacement criteria:
l The cleanliness of the deck/belt.
l The overall physical condition of the belt/deck.
l The belt/deck (exerciser weight) motor current loading affects.
l AC input current spec limits.
Creating a new condition belt/deck "benchmark" AC Input Current reference
Because of weight belt/deck motor loading affects, it is recommended that each technician
create a new condition belt/deck AC Input Current "benchmark" reference. You should do
this for each treadmill model that you are servicing. You can use this AC input current bench-
mark to help determine the belt/deck wear condition of other treadmills.
Measure the AC input current draw at 8 mph/12 kph (6 mph/9.5 kph minimum) at 0% incline
for 10 sec's and record as the new belt/deck AC input current benchmark. Use this value as
a reference when determining the condition of other similar model treadmills.
Procedure
1. Access the service menu 51765761) and select the Belt Speed Test:
o
On LED P30, P30i and P31 consoles: Hardware Validation Tests
(51765761) > Belt Speed Test
o
On touchscreen consoles: Settings (51765761) > System Settings > System
Tests > Belt Speed Test
2. Measure the AC input current draw as follows:
a. Access the service menu Belt Speed Test. Set the INCLINE to 0% and the
SPEED to 8 mph/12 kph (6 mph/9.5 kph minimum). Walk on the treadmill for 10
seconds and read the AMPS IN (AC input current).
3. Use the following table to determine the belt/deck condition and service/maintenance
action if needed:

tion AC Input Current Action
