Low Battery Voltage
Symptoms:
All electrical components are connected correctly.
A low battery voltage error is displayed when the joystick is powered on. See table 1, 2, or 3.
Diagnosis:
The battery voltage to the power module is low. This is most likely due to batteries that are not getting charged properly or at all.
NOTE: It is recommended that batteries be charged for 8-14 hours after daily use. If the power chair is used once a week or less, charge the batteries at least
once a week for 12-14 consecutive hours.
Solution:
Use the following procedure to find the source of the error:

Replace the NE, NE+,
or Q-Logic joystick and
retest the system.
Go to page 22.
Plug the off-board charger into the joystick
off-board charger port, then plug the charger
power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
Are the status indicator lights on the char-
ger turned on? (See the charger user’s
guide or owner’s manual for status indi-
cator light information.)
NO
Go to the
next page.
Do the status indicator lights indi-
cate that the charger is charging?
YES
NO
Replace the
off-board char-
ger and retest
the system.
Allow the batteries to charge for 8-
14 hours then retest the system.
