11.2 Laser parameter setting
11.2.1 Setting the laser rise time
The applicable measurement time is between 0.1s and 2.0s, which has to be trans-
ferred to the laser controller as pulse length. The maximum laser rise time for measur-
ing the power cannot exceed 100µs. This limit has to be adhered to in order to avoid
incorrect results of the power measurement.
Some laser beam sources are factory set with power ramps of up to a few 100ms to
switch on the laser beam. To achieve the correct power values the shortest possible rise
time (<100μs) has to be set.
