How to fix Pro-Form Treadmill that won't turn on?
    • K
      Kelly ConleyAug 21, 2025
First, ensure the power cord is plugged into a properly earthed outlet. If using an extension cord, it should be a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (1 mm[2]) cord no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m). Next, check that the key is inserted into the console. Finally, check the power switch on the treadmill frame; if it's tripped, press it to the off position, wait five minutes, and then plug it back in.

First, ensure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet, using only a single-outlet surge suppressor meeting the specifications. Note that the treadmill isn't compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. Also, make sure the key is inserted into the console after plugging in the power cord. Finally, check the power switch on the treadmill frame near the power cord; if it's tripped (protrudes), wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset it.
