How to troubleshoot a ProForm Treadmill that won't turn on?
    • Y
      ywestAug 4, 2025
If your ProForm Treadmill's power does not turn on, ensure that the power cord is plugged into a properly earthed outlet. If using an extension cord, use a 3-conductor, 14-gauge cord no longer than 5 ft. After plugging in, make sure the key is inserted into the console. Also, check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset it, wait five minutes, then press the switch back in.

Why is my ProForm 4.0 Treadmill walking belt slowing down when I walk on it?
    • B
      boydsheilaAug 14, 2025
To address the issue of the ProForm Treadmill's walking belt slowing down when walked on: * Ensure that if an extension cord is in use, it is a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (1 mm[2]) cord no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m). * If the walking belt is overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use a hex key to turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform. Keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
