How to turn on ProForm Treadmill?

  First, ensure the power cord of your ProForm Treadmill is properly plugged into a grounded outlet. If needed, use a 3-conductor, 1 mm[2] (14-gauge) extension cord no longer than 1.5 m (5 ft.). Note that the treadmill is not compatible with GFCI outlets. Also, make sure the key is correctly inserted into the console. Check the circuit breaker on the treadmill frame near the power cord; if it's tripped (protruding switch), wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset it. Finally, verify that the on/off switch near the power cord is in the 'on' position.

  If your ProForm Treadmill turns off during use, check the circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If tripped, wait five minutes before pressing the switch back in. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; if it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, then plug it back in. Also, remove and reinsert the key from the console, and confirm the on/off switch is in the 'on' position.

How to fix incline that does not change correctly on ProForm 490 Cx?

  To recalibrate the incline system on your ProForm Treadmill, insert the key into the console and press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is moving, remove the key. After a few seconds, reinsert the key. The treadmill should then automatically rise to its maximum incline and return to the minimum, recalibrating the system.

Why is the walking belt off-centre or slips on my ProForm 490 Cx Treadmill?

  If the walking belt on your ProForm Treadmill is off-center, remove the key and unplug the power cord first. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn using the hex key. If it's shifted right, turn the bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. If the walking belt slips, remove the key and unplug the power cord, then turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn using the hex key. Ensure the belt isn't overtightened. When correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the belt 7 to 10 cm (3 to 4 in.) off the platform. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and walk on the treadmill for a few minutes, repeating adjustments until centered and properly tightened.

Why does the walking belt slow down on my ProForm Treadmill?

  If the walking belt on your ProForm Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, make sure you're using an appropriate extension cord if needed—specifically, a 3-conductor, 1mm[2] (14-gauge) cord no longer than 1.5 m (5 ft.). If the walking belt feels overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, use the included hex key to turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. The belt should be tight enough that you can lift each edge 7 to 10 cm (3 to 4 in.) off the walking platform. Keep the belt centered, plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes, repeating adjustments until properly tightened.
