Adjust pedal resistance using the knob on the upright. Turn clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease.
Handlebars are designed for upper-body exercise. Push and pull them to work arms, shoulders, and back.
Turn on the console by pressing the On/Reset button or beginning to pedal.
The display shows distance, time, RPM, calories, and heart rate.
Hold handgrips with palms on metal contacts to measure heart rate. Avoid moving hands.
Use the fan button to control speed. Fan auto-turns off if idle for 30 seconds.
The console turns off automatically after inactivity to conserve batteries.
Replace console batteries when the display becomes dim. See assembly step 3 on page 6.
Adjust the reed switch if console feedback is incorrect. Requires disassembly and adjustment.
Adjust drive belt if pedals slip. Requires removing side shields and adjusting bolts.
Use heart rate to determine intensity for fat burning or cardiovascular exercise.
Structure workouts with warm-up, training zone exercise, and cool-down phases.
Aim for three workouts per week, with rest days in between for maintenance.
To burn fat, exercise at a low intensity for a sustained period.
For cardiovascular health, perform aerobic exercise at a higher intensity.
