If your ProForm Treadmill's power turns off during use, check the power switch and if it has tripped, wait five minutes before pressing it back in. Why ProForm PRO 2000 power does not turn on?
    • J
      james18Aug 19, 2025
If the power on your ProForm Treadmill does not turn on, verify that the power cord is connected to a properly earthed outlet. If you need to use an extension cord, make sure it is a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (2 mm2) cord no longer than 5 ft (1.5 m). After plugging in the power cord, ensure the key is correctly inserted into the console. Check the power switch on the treadmill frame; if it's protruding, wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset it.

First, ensure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor that meets the specifications and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet. Then, confirm that the key is properly inserted into the console. Finally, inspect the power switch on the treadmill frame; if it's tripped, wait five minutes before resetting it.

How to fix ProForm PRO 2000 console when displays do not function properly?
    • T
      Tiffany BrownAug 26, 2025
If the displays of your ProForm Treadmill console are not functioning properly, try resetting the console to its factory default settings. To do this, first, turn the power switch off. Then, find the reset opening on the console. Use a bent paper clip to press and hold the reset button inside the opening while someone else turns the power switch back on. Keep holding the reset button until the console turns on, completing the reset operation, after which the console should turn off and then back on. If it doesn't, use the power switch to turn the treadmill off and then on again. Once the console turns on, check for firmware updates. It may take a few minutes for the console to be ready for use.

    • L
      larrymorrisAug 28, 2025
If the walking belt on your ProForm Treadmill slips when walked on, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, using the hex key, turn both idler roller screws clockwise by 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches (5 to 7 cm) off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

What to do if the ProForm Treadmill walking belt slows down when walked on?
    • D
      darlenerogersSep 6, 2025
This issue might happen if the walking belt is overtightened, which can decrease treadmill performance and potentially damage the belt. To resolve this, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the hex key to turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise by 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform. Ensure the belt remains centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat these steps until the walking belt is properly tightened.

Why does the ProForm PRO 2000 Treadmill console screen stay lit after removing the key?

      Tanner HernandezSep 12, 2025
The console might be in display demo mode, which is designed for when the treadmill is displayed in a store. To turn off this mode, hold down the Stop button for a few seconds. If the displays are still lit, see THE SETTINGS MODE on page 24 to turn off the demo mode.
