a) TIME
To change the time, select the TIME field and enter the time using the alphanumeric
keypad. First, the hour field is modified. Next press the [8]
. key to enter the
minutes. Last, press the select button [7] to confirm the new time.
b) DATE
To modify the date select the DATE field. First, the day field is modified. Next press
the [8]
, key. Enter the month and lastly, the year.
c) LANGUAGE
This field permits to select the language between: ESPAÑOL, FRANÇAIS,
ENGLISH and DEUTSCH.
d) BEEP
This function permits to activate (ON) or deactivate (OFF) the PROMAX-25 beeper.
When it is on, it sounds on pressing any key in order to alert the user.
e) AUTO POWER OFF
This field permits to activate (ON) or deactivate (OFF) the POWER-OFF function.
When this function is ON, the unit automatically turns off when it has remained
inactive for a period of 10 minutes.
f) MODE SEARCH
Allows selecting the speed whereupon the search of DOCSIS channels is made.
FAST DOCSIS analyser checks all signals above the measurement range
(50dBuV).
NORMAL DOCSIS analyser checks all present signals.
The lower part of the screen displays the battery charge level (BATTERY)
expressed in hours (13.43 in the prior figure) and the program version (FIRMWARE)
of the control device (1.72 Hw 3).
IMPORTANT
To exit the internal function configuration menu and return to the main menu,
press the BACK option from the lower selection box, or the direct main menu
access button [12].
4.2.2 CONFIG operation mode
This menu allows users to define all of the parameters necessary to take
measurements of upstream as well as downstream to register on the data network as
an active cable modem. To access them, use the navigation buttons [7] to move the
selector, and once the field you want to modify is marked, press the select button. Then
it will be possible to use the select buttons or alphanumeric keypad to modify their
value. Lastly, press the new selection button to validate the new value.
