Applications 
This section of the manual deals with more difficult applications. And, service 
parameters that may need changing under certain process conditions in order to 
have the unit work to an acceptable level. 
In order to apply these parameters correctly the user should have a good working 
knowledge of Pulsar equipment.  
Pulsar PC software should always be used to monitor the echo profile and record 
the effect that the parameter changes are having. 
1.  Liquid applications in tanks/vessels where the surface is slow moving or 
still and close to the transducer.  
2.  Liquid applications in wet wells where the empty distance is close to the 
end of the range of the transducer and the surface may be turbulent and/or 
foamy. 
3.  Solids applications where the process is fast moving and the control is 
required to be nearly instantaneous, i.e. crusher control. 
4.  Solids applications where the process is much slower  moving and the 
product surface may have difficult angles of repose, i.e. bulk solids silos.
