Verify the Shipment
Ensure that the following items are included in the shipment:
•Power cord
• Quantum LTO Ultrium Cleaning Cartridge
• Single-connector SAS wrap tool
• Optional Rack Mount Kit
• The Quantum LTO-8 Tape Drive Quick Reference (6-68101-01)
• The Quantum LTO-8 HH SAS User’s Guide 6-68132-03 (this guide)
• SAS cables are not part of the ship group. They must be ordered
separately

Inspect the Power Cord and Outlet
1 Inspect the power cord plug to ensure that it matches the power
receptacle.
2 Ensure that all associ
ated electrical outlets are properly grounded
and that the circuit breaker is turned on.
WARNING: An electrical outlet that is not correctly wired could
place hazardous voltage on metal parts of the system
or the devices that attach to the system. It is the
responsibility of the customer to ensure that the
outlet is correctly wired and grounded to prevent an
electrical shock.
