Helm Control Transfer
To switch control from the main helm to the exterior helm, pull out and rotate the handle clockwise
90 degrees unl it locks into posion. You will now have control of the engine at the exterior helm. To
return control back to the main helm, pull out and rotate the handle counter-clockwise 90 degrees
unl it locks into posion.
The steering system is independent of the helm selector switch and will operate at all mes. DO NOT
TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AT THE HELM THAT DOES NOT HAVE FULL CONTROL OF THE BOAT!
Hydraulic Steering
The exterior helm comes with an addional steering helm, steering wheel, and steering hoses that
connects to the base steering system. The operaon of the system is similar, where when you turn the
steering wheel, the helm pump forces hydraulic uid through hoses to and from the steering cylinder
which is connected to the ller arm. Even though the helms are connected, the steering wheels will
not rotate together when one wheel is turned.
