2.POWEROUT(Negative)—connecttotheBLACKwireofthepoweranddatadigitalcable.
3.SCREEN—connecttothebarescreen(drain)strandsofthepoweranddatadigitalcable.
4.SCREEN—connecttoyourvessel'sRFgroundsystem.
5.POWERIN(Positive)—connecttothepositiveterminaloftheDCdistributionpanelorbattery
isolatorswitch.
6.POWERIN(Negative)—connecttothenegativebatteryterminal.
7.EMERGENCYSTOP(Switch)—ifyouhavetheoptionalVCM100emergencystopbutton,
removethewirebridginglinkfromtheVCM100EMERGENCYSTOPterminals,andconnectthe
emergencystopbuttonSWITCHwiretotheVCM100EMERGENCYSTOPSWITCHterminal.
8.EMERGENCYSTOPwirebridginglink—onlyremoveiffittingtheoptionalemergencystop
button.
9.EMERGENCYSTOP(Screen)—ifyouhavetheoptionalVCM100emergencystopbutton,
removethewirebridginglinkfromtheVCM100EMERGENCYSTOPterminals,andconnect
theemergencystopbuttonSCREEN(drain)wiretotheVCM100EMERGENCYSTOPSCREEN
terminal.
VCM100powercableextension
ThepowercablecanbeextendedforlongercablerunsbetweentheVCM100andyourvessel's
DCdistributionpanelorbatteryisolatorswitch.
Ifyouneedtoextendthepowercable,useasplashproofjunctionbox.Thejunctionboxshould
provideaterminalstripwithsufficientspaceforpowerconnections.Theterminalstripshouldbe
aminimumof30Ampratingforpowercores.Itisessentialthatbothpowercoresandthescreen
(drain)areconnectedandthattheconnectionisofverylowresistanceasconsiderablepower
passesthroughthisconnection.
Thefollowingtableprovidesrecommendedtotalpowercablelengthsandgauges.Thesefigures
relatetothemaximumround-triplengthofpowercablesfromthebatteryorDCdistributionpanelto
theVCM100.Exceedingtheselengthsmaycauseunreliableoperation.
