1.Checkthetopofthetransducerstemtoconfirmthatyouareusingthecorrecttypeoftransducer
(port“P” ,starboard(S)orall–in–one“0°”)foryourchosenmountinglocation.
2.Alignthebottomhalfofthefairingblockonthehullsothatitisparalleltothecenterline(keel)of
thevessel,ensuringthatthepointedendofthefairingispointedtowardsthebow.
3.Usingapermanentmarker,drawaroundtheoutsideedgeofthefairingblockandtheinternal
holesforthetransducerstemandanti-rotationbolt.
4.Removethefairingblockfromthehull.
5.Drillapilotholeinthecenterofthelocationmarkedoutforthetransducerstem.
Whendrillingholesinhullsthathaveadeadrise,ensurethatholesaredrilledstraightupand
notattheangleofyourhull.
6.Drillthestemholeusinga32mm(11/4in)holecutter.
7.Usingahalfroundfileand/orsandpaper,ensuretherearenoroughedgesorburrsaround
thetransducerstemhole.
8.Wipethemountinglocationandtransducerstemholewithanappropriatecleaningagent(for
example:isopropylalcohol),andensurethesurfacesaredry,cleanandfreefromdebris.
9.Guidethetransducercablethroughtheholeandensurethatthetransducerstemfitsinthehole.
10.Removethetransducerandcablefromthehull.
11.Drilla9mm(11/32in)holeinthecenterofthelocationmarkedoutfortheanti-rotationbolthole.
12.Checktheanti-rotationboltfitsinthehole.
13.Wipethetopfaceofthetransducer,thetransducerstem,theanti-rotationboltandthebottom
faceofthebottomhalfofthefairingblockwithanappropriatecleaningagent(forexample:
isopropylalcohol),andensurethesurfacesaredry,cleanandfreefromdebris.
14.Guidethetransducercablethroughthestemholeinthebottomhalfofthefairingblock.
