standinghelm.
•Reeftheheadsailandmainsailalittleearlyratherthantoolate.
•InWindVanemodetheSmartPilotwillreacttolong-termwind
shifts,butwillnotcorrectforshort-termchangessuchasgusts.
•Ingustyandunsteadyinshoreconditions,itisbesttosailafew
degreesfurtheroffthewindsothatchangesinwinddirection
canbetolerated.
•AvoidusingAutoT ackinconditionswherethewindmayshift
suddenly.
