Pin 5 and Pin 6 is part of the extended safety circuit. When these contacts are open, the instrument acts
as if the emergency stop has been pressed. Pin 5 and 6 must be closed with an external switch or
shorting plug.
Install the shorting plug, shown here,
to use the instrument without the
extended safety circuit.
Pin 5 and Pin 6 are shorted together in
the plug.
