OUTBOARD ENGINE BASICS
It is important that you read your outboard
engine manual carefully and become completely
familiar with the operation as well as necessary
maintenance on the engine and propulsion
systems. Pay careful attention to the sections
on winterization if you live in freezing climates.
Extensive damage can result if proper winter
storage is not followed in freezing climates. Contact your Regal dealer
for information regarding technical issues and parts. Also, refer to the
maintenance section of this manual.
This chapter is intended to give general information about the location
and function of typical outboard engine and controls. Control systems
and engines may vary from model to model. Refer to the specifi c
engine owner’s manual for your equipment that would include the
following information and much more in greater detail and accuracy.
