TYPICAL DIESEL FUEL SYSTEM(46 SC)
FUEL TANKS
The fuel tanks are located in the engine room. Both the
port and starboard fuel tanks feature shut-off valves for
both engines and generator lines. The tank fi ll and vent
connections are located at the forward end of the fuel
tank .See the illustrations for further fuel system informa-
tion.

Note that the 42 SC features the same type of fuel
line valves. It uses a single fuel tank located under
the main cabin fl oor verses twin tanks in the 46 SC
engine room.
Knowing the basic fuel fl ow pattern may be helpful as a
troubleshooting tool as well as general knowledge. In the
event of a fuel leak the valves can be turned to the “off ”
position.
