FIGURE 8: MACH-Pro(Web)Com CONNECTION WITHOUT AN AVAILABLE SERIAL PORT
SMART-N
ET PORT
The MACH-Pro(Web)Com controller supports up to 16 SMART-Sensors (refer to Figure 9).
SMART-Sensors are ideal for measuring space/zone room comfort levels and providing
user-level adjustments to setpoints. The SMART-Sensor
™
LCD model allows display and
adjustment of up to ten system points. Model options include onboard humidity sensor,
occupancy sensor, deg C/deg F switch, backlight, and CO
2
sensor.
SMART-Sensors (including SMART-Sensor EnOcean Accesspoint) are daisy-chained to
the MACH-ProCom controller's SMART-Net port using a six wire SMART-Net bus. With the
Enable X-Port Access field enabled in the MACH-Pro(Web)Com MSet screen, two of the
SMART-Net wires are connected to MS/TP-Net. This allows a workstation running RC-
Studio
®
or RC-Toolkit to plug into the SMART-Net port on the controller, or on the bottom
of any SMART-Sensor, and gain full access to the system (refer to Figure 10).
See the SMART-Sensor User Guide
or the EnOcean Wireless Integration User Guide for
installation and operation details.
The EIA-232 status LED flashes to indicate activity between the workstation and the MACH-
Pro(Web)Com controller. The EIA-232 status light also flashes to indicate activity between
the modem and the MACH-Pro(Web)Com controller. Modems must be purchased from
Reliable Controls to ensure proper operation.
The EIA-232 specification defines the maximum cable length to be 15 m (50 ft).
