To enable Internet communication, either the Enable BBMD or the Enable Foreign Device
Registration field must be enabled. If the controller being MSet will be the BBMD for a local
network, select the Enable BBMD field.
BBMD Field Enabled
The Network Address Translation setup is necessary if the router used for
connection to a WAN is configured to perform Network Address translation. If
Internet access is made through a router, enable the Network Address
Translation field and enter the router’s external address in the External
Address field.
Foreign Device Registration Enabled
If the MACH-Pro(Web)Com needs to connect and register as a device on a
remote LAN, the Enabled Foreign Device Registration field must be enabled. If
registering the MACH-Pro(Web)Com controller as a foreign device, the
Broadcast Distribution Tables in existing BBMDs do not need to be manually
configured. Instead, enter the IP address of the remote device, the remote
device’s port, and the number of seconds for the Time to Live field, which
determines the MACH-Pro(Web)Com
frequency of renewing registration with
the BBMD device.
