RENAULT CARDS: general information (continued)
RENAULT cards A and B are
supplied with a battery which
should be replaced when the battery
indicator light 4 is no longer lit up
(see the information on RENAULT
card: battery in Section 5).
Special note: for some vehicles, the
RENAULT card records the settings
selected by the Card user: the
choices for the settings for automatic
climate control, some radios,
electric seats (if this is stored), the
position of the door mirrors, etc. It is
therefore advisable always to keep
the same RENAULT card so that you
can retrieve your personal settings.
Remote control range
This varies according to the
environment: therefore take care
when handling the RENAULT card,
so that you do not inadvertently lock
or unlock the doors.
Driver’s responsibility
If there is a child (or a pet)
in the vehicle, never leave
it unsupervised with the
RENAULT card inserted in the
reader. With the card in the
reader, the engine could be
started or electrical equipment
such as the electric windows
could be operated and there is a
risk that a part of their body
(neck, arms, hands, etc.) may be
trapped. Risk of serious injury.
