STARTING AND STOPPING THE ENGINE USING THE REMOTE CONTROL CARD
Accessories position
(First notch)
The accessories (radio, etc.) operate
when the engine is not running.
Starting the engine position
(Second notch)
Once the RENAULT card is fully
inserted in the card reader 1 (when
you hear the unlocking noise from
the steering column), button 2 lights
up to confirm authorisation to start
the engine: press button 2 briefly to
start.
Note: button 2 is off if you are not in
a position to start (for example:
diesel preheating, gear selected, etc.
not correct).
Special circumstances
In some cases it will be necessary to
move the steering wheel while
pressing button 2 to unlock the
steering column.

For diesel versions, wait for the
preheating warning light
é on
the instrument panel to go out
before pressing button 2.
As soon as the engine starts,
button 2 goes out (the RENAULT
card is then locked in the card
reader, which goes out).
When the door is opened, the
RENAULT card reader 1 lights up.
Insert the RENAULT card in the card
reader 1 which has two notches: the
first is the accessories position and
the second is the starting the engine
position. On equipped vehicles, the
Insert card message will appear on
the instrument panel information
display.
