SPECIAL FEATURES OF DIESEL VERSIONS
Precautions to be taken in
winter
To avoid any faults in icy weather:
- ensure that the battery is always
fully charged.
- Always keep the diesel tank
relatively full to avoid water vapour
condensing in it and accumulating
at the bottom of the tank.
Diesel engine speed
Diesel engines are fitted with
injection equipment which prevents
the engine speed from being
exceeded irrespective of the gear
selected.
Running out of fuel
After filling the tank if you have run
completely out of fuel, the engine
may be started normally on
condition that the battery is fully
charged: see the information on the
Fuel tank in Section 1 to find out
more about the special features of
diesel versions fitted with common-
rail (high pressure) injection.
However, if after a few seconds and
several attempts the engine fails to
start, contact a RENAULT Dealer.
Do not park the vehicle or
run the engine in locations
where flammable substances
or materials such as grass or
leaves can come into contact with
the hot exhaust system.
