9.3 User shells
Users can have different shells on the U-router NGW system. For example, some users are not
allowed to use SSH and then perform CLI commands. Other users are meant to have direct access
to the Console port of the connected Enterprise Router. User can have 4 different shell types,
dependent on their role.
The four different shell types available:
Shell
Purpose
Bash
User has Web GUI and SSH access. When the user logs
in using SSH he/she will get a CLI prompt. Similar
to: rfi@rfi-000102:~$
Minicom
User has Web GUI and limited SSH access. When the
user logs in using SSH he/she will get a minicom
terminal. No shell commands can be given.
Terminal
User has Web GUI access. When logged in over SSH
the user is connected straight to the Console port
of the attached Enterprise Router.
GUI-only
User has Web GUI access only. No SSH login is
allowed
The shell type for each user can be set on the Users tab.
