During tray initialization, the Upper Limit Sensor 1 or 2 and the Paper Height
Middle Sensor were both ON 5 times consecutively.
 Paper overload
 Upper Limit Sensor 1 defective/disconnected
 Upper Limit Sensor 2 defective/disconnected
 Lower Limit Sensor defective/disconnected (If vacuum feed banner sheet tray
is not installed)
 Paper Height Middle Sensor defective/disconnected (If vacuum feed banner
sheet tray is installed)
 A harness to one of the parts listed above is broken.
 PCB defective
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
To check for any abnormalities in the sensor and motor solenoid, be sure to
perform an input check and output check for them as needed in addition to a
visual check.
1. Reduce the number of sheets of paper loaded in the tray.
2. Reconnect the connectors listed below:
 Lower Limit Sensor
 Paper Height Middle Sensor
 Paper upper limit sensor 2
3. Replace the harness listed below:
 Lift motor
 Lower Limit Sensor
 Paper Height Middle Sensor
 Paper upper limit sensor 2
4. Replace the electric parts listed below.
 Lower Limit Sensor
 Paper Height Middle Sensor
 Paper upper limit sensor 2
5. Replace the Main Control Board of the LCIT.
