Connecting to a Computer
Transferring Images Using a FlashAir
Card
You can transfer images to your computer, smart phone, or tablet automatically
when a memory card (FlashAir card) which is equipped with wireless LAN is
inserted in the camera.

Do the initial setting for FlashAir.
For details on how to set up the card, refer to the operating manual supplied with
the FlashAir card.

Turn the camera off.

Insert the FlashAir card into the camera.

Turn the camera on.

Select O (On) for [FlashAir] in the [W Setting] menu.
Transfer images by using the FlashAir application on your computer, smart
phone, or tablet. For details on how to set up the camera, refer to “Setting up
wireless LAN for FlashAir” (p.160).
One of the following icons will appear on the display.
To connect FlashAir as a wireless LAN
On your camera, set [FlashAir Wireless LAN] to O, and then do one
of the following.
• Set FlashAir to [AP Mode] or [Internet Simultaneous Connection
Mode], and then connect to a client device (STA), such as a
computer, smart phone, or tablet, as a wireless LAN.
• Set FlashAir to [STA Mode], and then connect to an access point
(AP) on a wireless LAN.
To put FlashAir connections as wireless LAN on standby
On your camera, set [FlashAir Wireless LAN] to O, and then do one
of the following.
• Set FlashAir to [AP Mode] or [Internet Simultaneous Mode], and
then put connection to client devices (STA), such as a computer,
smart phone, or tablet, on standby.
• Set FlashAir to [STA Mode], and then put connection to access
points (AP) on a wireless LAN on standby.
To stop FlashAir connections as a wireless LAN
On your camera, turn [FlashAir Wireless LAN] to P (OFF).
The FlashAir card is write-protected.
• The settings cannot be changed if the write-protect switch of the FlashAir
card is set to "LOCK".
• Update the FlashAir card firmware as necessary before using the card.
• The Eye-Fi Connected feature is not available.
