Function Inspection
After the passive probe is successfully connected, you need to perform probe
function inspection following the steps below.
1. Press SAVE  Default to restore the oscilloscope to its default configuration.
2. Connect the ground alligator clip of the probe to the "Ground Terminal" as shown
in Figure 1-8.
3. Use the probe to connect the input terminal of CH1 of the oscilloscope and the
"Probe Compensation Signal Output Terminal" as shown in Figure 1-8.

4. Press Auto.
5. Observe the waveform on the screen. In normal condition, a square waveform as
shown in the figure below should be displayed; otherwise, please perform
"Probe Compensation" in the next section.

6. Use the same method to test the other channels.
