Display options - DAB / FM
Your radio has a range of display options when in DAB and FM modes:-
1. Press the Select/Info button to cycle through the various options. All
displays except the text display will revert to the clock display after
about 10 seconds.
DAB display options
Your radio will display the following in DAB mode:-
Station name, scrolling text, program type, signal strength, multiplex name,
frequency, bit rate, time and date.
For the signal strength, the minimum signal marker (
) shows the minimum
signal strength needed for good DAB reception. The signal indicator
chevrons increase or decrease showing the changing signal strength as
you adjust the telescopic aerial or your radio position.
FM display options
The Radio Data System (RDS) is a system in which inaudible digital
information is transmitted in addition to the normal FM radio programme.
RDS offers several useful features.
Your radio will display the following in FM mode:-
Station name, scrolling text, program type, frequency, time and date.
Note: If no RDS information is available, the radio will be unable to display
the station name, scrolling text and programme type information. Your radio
will display 'NO TEXT' if there is no scrolling text and 'NO PTY' if there is
no programme type information.
