2 PERFORMANCE LIMITS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
2.1 Operating environment and conveyed liquids
KRVS units are indicated only for vacuum operation with air and/or inert gases umid or dry, within the limit indicated in paragraphs.4.2.
Warning: For operation with other gases please contact our Technical Service dept.
Service liquids suitable to be used with KRVS units are water and other NOT flammable liquids with similar physical properties
2.2 Operation Limits
KRVS is suitable to be used only in vacuum operation, that means suction at a pressure lower than atmospheric and discharge to
atmosphere.
Table 3 indicates the operating limits for KRVS units.

Tab.3
The minimum suction pressure depends on the service water temperature and it is possible to evaluate it by using diagram of fig.3 in
correspondence of the “suction possibility limit curve”. This curve divides the correct from cavitational operating field.
Diagram gives the flow rate variation of the pump depending on the service water temperature for a given value of the suction pressure.
Fig .3
The intake fluid may consist of incondensable gas or condensable gas/vapour mixture; a limited quantity of light suspended particles and
liquid is allowed. The maximum allowed liquid flow at suction is indicated in tab. 4.
Warning : The blower is not suitable to convey
explosive, toxic or dangerous gases
Note: If the temperature of the gas/vapour handled exceeds the maximum allowable value, please
consult us
Warning : KRVS discharge shall be only at atmospheric pressure.
Conveying gas in the discharge of
KRVS could produce malfunctioning or damage KRVS
Note: If the discharge overpressure is higher than the maximum allowed overpressure, please consult
us
Warning: Long operation under cavitation conditions may seriously damage the pump
