To unload the reagent racks
To discard reagents
Pull the reagent racks all the way out of the stage.
Remove the processing cartridges and discard them according to local regulations.
Unload the reagent trays.
If there is any isolation reagent left in the reagent trays, seal them with a sealing foil for subsequent pu-
rification runs:
Place a sealing foil over the reagent tray and remove the perforation.
Using the sterile side of the backing paper of the sealing foil, run the blue lid of the reagent tray (or
alternatively the flat part of your hand) over the top of the reagent trays.
Handle the sealing foil carefully to avoid injury.
Store the reagent trays for further use at +15 to +25 °C.
Insert the reagent racks back into the stage.
Pierce the foil in the corner of one container in the reagent tray using a solid plastic disposable, such as
a 10 ml cell culture pipette.
Fold back the foil and discard the liquid in a container dedicated for waste.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 to discard the contents of all containers until all are empty.
Discard unused reagents in accordance with national, federal, state and local regulations.
