Switching
the
Power
On
and
Off
Be
sure
to
follow
the
steps
below
when
turning
the
power
on
or
off.
If
this
is
not
done
in
the
correct
sequence,
you
risk
causing
a
malfunction,
and/or
damage
to
speakers
and
other
equipment.
Turning
On
the
Power

1.
Before
you
switch
on
the
power,
adjust
the
[Speaker
Vol-
ume]
and
[Line
Out
Volume]
knobs
to
Min
(minimum).
2.
Connect
the
supplied
power
cord
to
the
AC
inlet
on
the
back
of
the
unit.
3.
Plug
the
supplied
power
cord
into
an
AC
outlet.
4.
Press
the
[Power]
switch
on
the
back
of
the
unit.
After
a
few
seconds,
the
unit
will
be
operable,
and
playing
the
keyboard
will
produce
sound.
Turning
Off
the
Power
1.
Before
you
switch
off
the
power,
adjust
the
[Speaker
Vol-
ume]
and
[Line
Out
Volume]
knobs
to
Min
(minimum).
2.
Press
the
[Power]
switch
on
the
back
of
the
unit.

Use
the
[Speaker
Volume]
knob
to
adjust
the
volume
level.

“Adjusting
the
Sound’s
Volume
and
Bril-
liance”
below.)
This
unit
is
equipped
with
a
protection
circuit.
A
brief
interval
(a
few
seconds)
after
power
up
is
required
before
the
unit
will
operate
normally.
Be
sure
to
use
only
the
power
cord
supplied
with
the
FP-9.
The
power
is
switched
off.

Use
the
[Speaker
Volume]
knob
to
adjust
the
overall
vol-
ume
level.
Turning
the
knob
toward
Max
increases
the
volume,
and
turning
it
toward
Min
lowers
it.
2.
Use
the
[Brilliance]
knob
to
adjust
the
overall
sound
quality.
Turning
the
knob
toward
Bright
makes
the
sound
more
brilliant,
and
turning
it
toward
Mellow
makes
it
more
restrained.
