change
the
volume
of
the
Metronome
While
holding
down
the
[METRONOME]
button,
set
the
volume
with
the
[+/—]
buttons.
The
volume
of
the
Metronome
can
be
sct
in
seven
levels,
(1~7).
»
“4”
is
automatically
selected
when
the
piano
is
switched
on.
Listening
to
a
Demo
Performance
Practicing
the
piano
also
involves
listening
to
how
other
musicians
play
a
given
piece.
Your
RD-100
includes
many
demonstration
songs.
Listen
to
these
songs
before
actually
playing
the
piano.
Playing
Back
a
Demo
Song
1.
Select
the
Song
Number
with
the
SONG
[+/-]
buttons.
2.
Press
the
[PLAY]
button
to
play
the
selected
song.
3.
Press
the
[PLAY]
button
again
to
stop
playing.
*
The
Demo
Song
List
shows
the
Song
Names
and
Song
Num-
bers
(see
the
end
of
this
manual).
Changing
the
Tempo
of
the
Song
The
RD-100
allows
you
to
change
the
tempo
of
the
song.
Changing
the
tempo
does
not
affect
the
pitch.
1.
Select
the
desired
tempo
with
the
TEMPO
[+/-]
buttons.
2.
Press
the
[PLAY]
button,
and
the
song
will
be
played
at
the
set
tempo.
*
You
can
change
the
tempo
even
while
the
song
is
playing.
3.
Press
the
[PLAY]
button
again
to
stop
playback.
4,
Press
the
two
TEMPO
[+/-]
buttons
simultaneously
to
return
to
the
original
(stored)
tempo
value.
+
Sometimes,
the
tempo
and/or
beat
change(s)
in
the
middle
of
the
song.
The
display,
however,
will
keep
showing
the
tempo
value
used
at
the
beginning
of
the
song.

You
cannot
change
the
beat
while
a
song
is
being
played.
Listening
To
The
Left
And
Right
Parts
In
Iso-
lation
A
tape
recorder
records
two
channels
for
the
sounds
played
by
the
right
speaker
and
that
by
the
left
speaker.
The
place
where
a
“channel”
is
recorded
is
called
a
track.
The
RD-100
uses
a
similar
system:
what
is
played
with
the
right
hand
is
stored
on
Track
2,
while
what
is
played
by
the
left
hand
is
recorded
on
Track
1.
This
is
very
con-
venient
for
piano
lessons,
since
you
can
practice
each
hand
separately.
Some
demo
songs
include
pieces
for
four-hand
perfor-
mances.
In
a
four-handed
piece,
each
Track
has
a
differ-
ent
player.
By
switching
off
one
track,
you
play
one
part
while
the
RD-100
takes
care
of
the
other.
