Main Functions
1. Use the [VOLUME] slider to adjust the overall volume.
The “Max” position corresponds to the maximum vol-
ume, while the “Min” position means you won't hear the
RD-100.
* The setting of this slider also determines the volume in the
headphones.

The indicator of the button you press will light. Play a
few notes on the keyboard to audition the selected
sound.
2. Use the [BRILLIANCE] slider to set the desired brightness
(tone color) of the sound.
At the “Bright” position, a bright tone is obtained, while Piano 1 Full-sized concert grand piano (sampled using
Roland's proprietary True Stereo Sampling® technolo-
gy). 32-note polyphonic.
Piano 2 Concert grand piano sound (64-note polyphonic).
Harpsichord Delicate and elegant harpsichord sound.
Vibraphone = A resonant vibraphone.

Listening to the Demo Song:
The RD-100 contains 23 demonstration songs. Here's
what you need to do to listen to them:
The RD-100 allows you to play two sounds simultane-
ously (we already showed you how to select the Honky-
Tonk sound which is, in fact, a combination of the Piano
Demo song playback will start from the first song.
2. Press the [ALL SONG PLAY] button again (indicator goes
dark) to stop playback.
While the indicator of the [ALL SONG PLAY] button
lights, all demo songs will be played back in sequence
(this is called All Song Play).

By way of example, let us select the Piano 1 and Strings
sounds:
Hold down the [PIANO 1] button while pressing the
[STRINGS] button.
The indicators of these two buttons now light to signal
that you have selected the Dual mode. Play a few notes
on the keyboard to audition this Dual combination.
+ You can adjust the volume balance of the two Tones used with
Dual Play.
