MIDI
Transmit
Mode
There
are
two
Transmit
modes
for
sending
MIDI
mes-
sages.
Select
the
one
that
suits
your
purpose.
+
Note
and
Pedal
messages
can
be
transmitted
and
received
in
any
mode.
Mode
1:
This
mode
allows
the
piano
to
transmit
only
the
performance
messages
(information
concerned
with
playing
the
keyboard
or
pressing
the
pedals)
to
the
exter-
nal
MIDI
device.
When
you
select
other
sounds
on
the
RD-100
it
thus
does
not
transmit
Program
Change
mes-
sages.
Mode
2:
This
mode
allows
the
piano
to
transmit
various
MIDI
messages
as
well
as
normal
performance
informa-
tion.
When
you
select
a
sound
on
the
RD-100,
the
cor-
responding
Program
Change
will
be
transmitted.
This
mode
may
be
convenient
when
recording
performances
into
a
sequencer.
.
Hold
down
the
[TRANSPOSE]
button
while
pressing
N
w
[CHORUS].
Select
the
Transmit
Mode
("1”"
or
“2")
with
the
[+/-]
but-
tons.
Press
the
[TRANSPOSE]
button
and
confirm
that
the
indi-
cator
goes
out.
The
Transmit
Mode
you
select
here
will
be
retained
until
the
piano
is
switched
off.
When
the
RD-100
is
switched
on,
MODE
1
will
be
automatically
selected.

Transmitting

numbers
can
be
transmitted
as
fol-
lows.
This
may
be
necessary
for
remotely
controlling
a
module,
etc.,
without
selecting
another
sound
on
the
RD-100
itself:
.
Hold
down
[TRANSPOSE]
while
pressing
the
[REVERB]
but-
ton.
Press
the
[REVERB]
button
again,
and
the
display
shows
the
Group,
Bank,
and
Number.
.
Set
the
Program
Change
Number
with
the
[+/-]
buttons.
.
Press
the
[TRANSPOSE]
button
and
confirm
that
the
indi-
cator
goes
out.
The
Program
Change
number
you
have
set
will
be
retained
until
the
piano
is
switched
off.
