The BING carburetor
is
a
piston
type carbuetor
wi$ float chamb€r.
The carburetor
can
be adjusted
by
jet
replacement of vaiious
approved sizes, by adjusting idle
air/fuel mixtule
screw, carb
piston
stoD
adjustment,
needle
sizes, and needle
position.
In no case should
jet
changes be made by unqualified peNons
or those who
do
not
have ROTAX
technical inforDation to do so.
The airlfuel mixtur€ at idle speed is adjusted
by the aa adjusting
screw
(see
ill. no. 13).
The idle
r.p.m.
is
adjusted by the
carburetor
pistor
adjustment
screw
(ill.
no. 14).

adjustment
of the othe!.
NOTE

On single
carb
engines the carburctor rnust
be in an exacr right
angle
positiot
in relation
to
the crankshaft in both views from
top and from the intake
side to ensure
an equal mixRle
disEibution
to both cylinde$
(see
ill. below).
Changing
parts
should
be dore only after all
othe! items have
be€n checked,
and then
bv an
experienced
two cycle mechanic.
Ensure that throtde cable and linkage do not
stick and that carb piston
valve can
be fitlly
opeoed and
closed . Minor cable backlash can be adjusted
at cable adjustment
screw and lock
nur.
Be certain
that thottle
linkage
is not affecred
by engine or airframe
movemenr. This
could
change
throttle settings.
Airintake
filtration and/ornoise reduction devices
mus! be in
place
forpropercarburction.
